Church wouldn’t happen without our incredible volunteers. From welcoming and tech to kids’ programs and hospitality, their service brings our community to life each week.
Crèche, Kids Church & Youth or Playtime volunteer
Our volunteers, from all walks of life, are fully trained and screened, with valid Working with Children Checks and regular safety training, including Creating Safe Spaces. Together, they ensure Crèche, Kids Church & Youth, as well as our midweek Playtime/Mainly Music sessions, are not only spiritually enriching, but also safe and nurturing. We are so thankful for this incredible team who help children & teens discover the love of Jesus every week.

Welcome & Hospitality volunteer
Our Welcome and Hospitality Team plays a vital role in creating a warm, inviting atmosphere each Sunday. As the first faces people see, they help both new visitors and long-time churchgoers feel seen and at home. From a friendly greeting to a cup of coffee, their care sets the tone for the whole church experience and reflects the heart of our community. They help to connect new people, making them feel a part of our community.

Worship volunteer
Our worship volunteers bring their gifts and hearts to lead us in praising God each week. Prayer ministry volunteer
Our Prayer Ministry Team is available after each service to pray with anyone who would like support, encouragement, or simply someone to stand with them in faith. With compassion and sensitivity, they offer a quiet, safe space for people to bring their needs before God. Whether it’s a moment of joy, struggle, or seeking guidance, this team is ready to listen and pray. Their ministry is a powerful expression of care and trust in God’s presence and power.

Pastoral Care volunteer

Lead or Host a Life Group
At the heart of Manly Life are our Life Groups – mid week small communities of people who gather together in homes around Manly.
Life Groups gather weekly or fortnightly to fellowship, study the bible and minister to each other. It is about being connected as friends and growing as disciples of Jesus together.

SRE Scripture Teacher
Our SRE (Special Religious Education) Scripture teacher volunteers faithfully bring the message of Jesus into local public schools each week. They create engaging, age-appropriate lessons that help children explore faith, ask questions, and learn about God’s love. With training and dedication, they serve as a vital connection between the church and the wider community.

Lead a course (Alpha/Marriage)
If you feel called to serve by leading an Alpha or Marriage Course, we warmly welcome you to join our team of volunteers. These courses offer a meaningful way to help others explore faith or strengthen their relationships in a supportive, relaxed environment. Volunteers receive training and ongoing support to confidently facilitate discussions and create a safe space for honest conversations. Your willingness to serve in this way can make a lasting difference in people’s lives.

Cook meals
If you love to cook and have a heart to help, joining our meal support team is a wonderful way to care for others. We provide home-cooked meals to individuals and families going through a tough time, recovering from illness, or adjusting to life with a new baby. It’s a simple but powerful way to show love and support when it’s needed most. Every meal makes a difference, and we’d love to have you on the team.

Our Working Bee volunteers generously give their time and energy to help care for and maintain our church property.
